It was another tough game tonight as we shared the points again with our visitors from Bloemfontein at Princess Magogo Stadium.
Celtic came onto the park with intention of taking points, and this was evident from the attacking play they bought to the game from the first minute. They were determined to play into the last third and break the defence, and although this never allowed them clear shots at goal, they were awarded by getting a lot of corners, which finally paid off as They opened their scoring in the 7th minute off one of the corners when Nyundu headered the ball to open the scoring.
The team did well to counter the play after this and held a lot more posession and advantage on the field. They had some great plays, getting into the last third and creating opportunities to score. We came at their goals from every angle. Jooste coming in on the right and Nonyane firing from the left while Mahachi and Lamola did well in the middle.
It was just not enough though but it did frustrate the opposition and this resulted in Hotto fouling Jooste in the box. We were awared a penalty which Mahachi played low to the right, beating Tignyemb who dived the opposite direction.
The teams went into the break with the scores equaled and that would be the way it remained until full time. Both teams had a number of opportunities in the second half but were just not fortunate to find the back of the net to secure the full 3 points.
