Our diski boys have suffered a 1-0 loss to Kaizer Chiefs this afternoon in their Multichoice Diski game at Dobsonville Stadium.
The first half was an equal footed affair, with both teams lacking the ability to take advantage of their posession and get onto the score boards. In the last 7 minutes, Chiefs had a barage of attacks at our goals but good defending and some great saves from Goss denied the home team.
The sides went into the break with 0-0 score on the board, however, chiefs made use of an early corner after returning to the field to take the lead. Ryan Moon did well to get the ball into the back of the net and gave his team the lead.
An early opportunity to equalise was missed after Magubane was bought down in the box and a penalty was awarded. Nduduzo Sibiya stepped up but missed the opportunity for the team.
Some changes off the bench made a difference to the side though, Mathenjwa's intoduction seemed to add some fire to the side and they started attacking better from the 75th minute, but could just not finsih off in the last 3rd.
With 5 minutes left, another great opprtunity was missed to equalise as Sibiya beat 3 Chiefs players, took a shot at goal and was just wide, and the keeper was beaten
The team will return to Durban next weekend where they will face Orlando Pirates on Saturday 11th, 13hoo at King Zwelithini Stadium.
