Our Diski side have beaten Orlando Pirates team in the penultimate MDC game.
In a game that stared off reasonably equal footed, ended up showing dominance and determination that had tastes of last years performance when we won the trophy.
Once again the youngsters who came into the side perfomed well, showing that they want to keep their positions going forward.
Pirates had moments where they looked dangerous, but they were put on the back foot after their keeper Tsotetsi received a red card just before the half time whistle for a deliberate hand ball out of his box.
Shortly afterwards, Sabelo, who had been attacking well, put the replacement keeper under pressure, forcing him to make a mistake in a pass that was intercepted and he passed the ball in for the opening goal.
After the break, Pirates came back for a couple of minutes but were not able to break the defence. They had periods where they looked like they could score, but lacked finsihing to pull one back.
Our attack was dominant from Siyabonga Dube, who played up, and fed a number of players in the middle. This strategy put the Pirates team on the back foot and a number of opportunities went begging.
It was eventually Zuke who received the ball in the box, turned and took the shot to give us a 2-0 lead over the Sea Robbers.
The team will now play Chippa United in their last game of the season on 25th February.
