The Diski team have had a convincing 4-0 win against Baroka FC in the Multichoice Diski Challange game played at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium this morning.
The game started on pretty even footing with the teams weighing each other up in the first 15 minutes of the game. We then started using our ball well, playing up and dominating the game. We had Baroka's defence under pressure as often as possible. This paid off in the 34th minute when Hlongwane scored the first of his brace for the day after a great assist from Ngcobo. Mathenjwa then scored his first goal of the competition, giving us a comfortable lead going into the break. Our only drawback from the half was L.Dube receiving a red card after a second bookable offence. This meant we would play the last 45 minutes with a man down.
The team returned to the field and picked up from where they had left off. We played confidently and calmly and made sure that we could cover the gaps on the field while still looking at attacking the opponent. We were rewarded by finding the back of the net twice again. The first was scored off a penalty after Hlongwane was bought down in the box, Sandile Dlamini made sure from the spot and then Hlongwane scored his brace in the 75th minute.
A convincing win for the side as they go into their break over the festive period.
