The Telkom Knockout Last 16 gets underway this weekend with the first game being played tonight between Maritzburg United and Polokwane City.

We get into action tomorrow afternoon on the field against Orlando Pirates at Princess Magogo Stadium at 15h30.

This will be the fifth time since 2010 that we meet the Buccaneers in the Telkom Knockout competition, and have been knocked out in the 1st round, quarterfinals and semifinals in previous encounters.

We have been playing positively over the past months in the PSL and the determination and positivity in the side has seen us retain an unbeaten record so far.

This attitude could stand us well on Saturday afternoon and help secure a win in the first round of the competition. We have reached the quarter finals in five of the last eight appearances, and this year we aim at going further.

It will be a tough game against a team that has not been knocked out in the first round since 2007, but this is not an impossible feat.

Tickets are on sale from TicketPro outlets which include selected Edgars, CNA and Jet stores. Adults cost R40 while kids under 12 are only R15.

We encourage you to get to the stadium to watch the game. The Telkom Cup always promises exciting soccer.

The game will be televised on SS4, and we will also keep you up to date on our social media platform
