We have secured another 3 points in the Multichoice Diski Challenge with a 3-1 win over Polokwane City at Princess Magogo Stadium this morning.
In what was a well played and entertainining game saw the sides go into the break with no score on the board, we managed to set some domination over the visitors in the second half and secure the win.
The first half was entertaining, with both of the sides using their possession and getting into promising situations to score. Polokwane City seemed to have a bit of dominance, threatening our goals more, but we defended well to ensure that they never scored.
We too had some good plays, but we could just not finish off and take the lead.
After the break, the game seemed to pick up where it left off. Both sides attacking in a fast paced game..while putting their bodies on the line to defend. We managed a break through in the 59th minute as Ndwandwe played up the right side, put in a brilliant cross and Conco headered in for the first goal. He then scored his brace just 8 minutes later. He had a great break and beat the defence, with just the keeper left. He made no mistake in chosing his shot and took the team to a 2-0 lead.
It was the skippers turn to score. Having been awarded a free kick, Sabelo took the set piece played it nicely into the box. The Polokwane keeper failed to hold onto it and Sibisi scored our third.
It was then the visitors chance to score. Our concentration dropped and we alloweed then to pull one back just a minute after our third goal.
A great performance from the entire side today. It would not be fair to point any one player out as they each did well to contribute to the win.
