We host Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of the MTN8 semi final at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium tomorrow afternoon. Kick off will be at 3pm and the game will be televised on both the SuperSport PSL channel as well as SABC Sport.

Coach Lehlohonolo Seema stated in a press conference today, “I can tell you we are already getting ready to give them the fight”. He and the technical staff have been talking with the players and preparing them mentally for the game as well as working on the play side of the game.

While he feels that the break of a month between the legs will give the team the opportunity to settle more into the season, iron out any issues of play and improve on them, Tomorrow’s clash is as important as any, and the team is wanting to secure the win at home.

Masandawana’s quarter final saw them play Kaizer Chiefs with the game also going to penalties to determine a winner. They scored twice in the first half of the game and allowed Chiefs to come back in the second half to force extra time and penalties.

If we pull together, and play our style of football, we know that they are a team that can be beaten at home and aim to go into the second leg with an advantage before we meet them in Pretoria in September.
